Good Distribution Practice - German
Maintained quality throughout the distribution chain
Falsified medical products are a threat to the society and must be combated by all means. According to the EU Directive wholesale distributors of medicinal products are required to apply a quality system where responsibilities, processes and risk management policies regarding the business are established.
The guiding principle for the Good Distribution Practice is that the quality of medical products manufactured should be maintained throughout the distribution chain. Compliance with the guidelines ensures the control of the supply chain and subsequently maintains the quality.
Objectives: Trade with medicinal products requires a wholesale distribution authorization issued by the appropriate authority in the respective country. The purpose of the course is to provide insights into the guidelines developed by the EU containing appropriate measures for assisting wholesale distributors in their activities.
