Managed Packaging for Supply Chain
To stand up to impacts along the supply chain
There has been a growing interest in the efficiency of packaging design in global supply chains. The packaging follows the product throughout the supply chain, from the supplier to the consumer, and thereby in a decisive manner affects the costs.
Because most shipments are subject to be handled in more than one mode of transportation throughout their journey, packaging needs to be designed to stand up to impacts from physical and climatic conditions, in order to reach the customer in good condition even the last mile.
Objectives: The aim of the course is to provide you with knowledge and understanding of the essential requirements on the design of packaging to cope with the stresses of supply chains built around intermodal transport systems with a global scale.
Participants: The course is aimed at people who work with packaging design, distribution, logistics, warehousing, transportation, purchasing, export and import activities of products in global trade.
Qualifications: No previous knowledge is required, but it is preferable if you have some work experience in this field.
